By registering to participate in Predict D Score (referred to as "the Game" hereafter) you hereby agree to be bound by and to abide by the following terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions").
HOW TO ENTER
1. You must register online in order to be able to play the Game. All applications to participate in the Game must be made online via the website at www.predictdscore.co.uk and be in accordance with the relevant instructions. No applications to enter made in any other manner will be accepted. Applications are at the discretion of Predict D Score and once accepted an applicant is entitled to participate in the Game. There is no limit on the number of entries per household or organisation, however only one entry per person may be submitted. Any additional entries by one person will be made invalid. If you do not provide your real name when registering, you may not be able to claim any prize for which you would otherwise be eligible. Entries submitted under the same email address will be considered as multiple entries and are not allowed, and will not qualify for any prizes.
2. No purchase necessary. Entry to the Game is free.
3. The game runs throughtout the World Cup 2010 tournament. There is no closing date for entries, however you will only be able to score points for matches if you have registered prior to a match kicking off. Points will not be backdated for matches that occurred before you registered.
4. Entry into the Game is open people aged 16 years or over only. You must be a UK resident to be eligible for prizes. Proof of eligibility must be provided on request.
5. Entries must not be submitted by agents or third parties and any such entries will be deemed void. Entries correctly submitted through the online website will result in an acceptance message on the website confirming your details. During registration you will be sent an email containing a link that you must click on in order to validate your entry into the Game. The computer's record of each entry will be deemed to be the entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries which do not comply with these Terms and Conditions and the Game Rules nor for entries which are lost, delayed, incomplete or not received by Predict D Score online for any reason, including any technological, hardware or software failures or as a result of high traffic volumes on the internet. Proof of submitting Predict D Score online will not regard an entry as proof of receipt of such entry.
GAME RULES
6. The rules of the Game form part of these Terms and Conditions. The Game Rules are published on the Predict D Score online website. In the case of conflict between the Game Rules and these Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Predict D Score reserves the right to alter, amend or supplement the Game Rules from time to time on reasonable notice as it sees fit in its absolute discretion in the event of any circumstances beyond its control arising or where it considers on a reasonable basis that it is desirable to ensure the smooth running of the Game. You agree that Predict D Score online is not liable to you for any loss suffered as a result of any such amendment to the Game Rules. All changes to the Game Rules will be posted on the Game Rule section of the website. You are therefore advised to check the Game Rules regularly. Any breach by any player of the Game Rules shall be a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
USERNAMES
7. Usernames cannot exceed 32 characters in length. Predict D Score online reserves the right to reject usernames, which are deemed to be inappropriate, offensive, confusing, defamatory or which infringe any rights of third parties. Any names so rejected must be changed within seven days of notification by Predict D Score online or the Player will be disqualified from the Game and will not be eligible to win any prize related to the Game.
PREDICTIONS
8. All score predictions must be made online via the web site www.predictdscore.co.uk. Score predictions made in any other manner with be invalid. Confirmation is given to the Player once scores are submitted. Predict D Score does not accept responsibility for Players failing to submit their scores within the designated time. Predict D Score does not accept responsibility for score predictions failing to be received due to technical problems on the web site. The submission form is available from every Tuesday for the weeks upcoming fixtures, plus forthcoming fixtures for following three weeks.
POINTS
9. Points are awarded to players for correct score/result predictions. Example Correct Score Prediction Your prediction: Arsenal 0 Aston Villa 1 Match Result: Arsenal 0 Aston Villa 1 Correct score prediction in a game with 4 goals or less - 4pts Correct score prediction in a game with 5 goals - 5pts Correct score prediction in a game with 6 goals - 6pts Correct score prediction in a game with 7 goals - 7pts (8 goals - 8pts etc...) Example Correct Result Prediction Your prediction: Arsenal 0 Aston Villa 1 Match Result: Arsenal 0 Aston Villa 2 Correct result prediction - 2pts Example Incorrect Result Prediction Your prediction: Arsenal 0 Aston Villa 1 Match Result: Arsenal 0 Aston Villa 0 Incorrect result prediction - 0pts. Bonus Points are awarded for correct team score predictions. The points for all weekend matches will updated by each Monday.
USE OF THE MESSAGE BOARDS FOR THE GAME
10. Any communication on message boards within the Game is subject to usual community terms and conditions.
GENERAL
11. In the event of any breach by any applicant and/or any Player of these Terms and Conditions (including the Game Rules) or conduct contrary to the spirit of the Terms and Conditions and the intention of the Game, Predict D Score online reserves the right to refuse entry to the relevant applicant, to disqualify the Player in question from any further participation in the Game and to declare as void any and all claims or entries based on such conduct. Any applicant so refused and/or Player so disqualified shall not be eligible to participate in the Game under any other identity or team name and shall not be entitled to receive any prize related to the Game. Predict D Score further reserves the right in his reasonable discretion to (a) declare as void any entries or claims resulting from any printing, production and/or online display errors; and/or (b) add to or waive these Terms and Conditions on reasonable notice; and/or (c) cancel the Game or any part of it at any stage in the event of circumstances beyond Predict D Score online reasonable control.
12. Any personal data relating to Players will be used by Predict D Score online and solely in accordance with current data protection legislation. In addition Predict D Score online will only use personal data relating to entrants in accordance with its privacy policy. By entering the Game and accepting these Terms & Conditions, you agree to receive weekly emails regarding your entry to the Game during the Game period. You have the choice to opt-out of receiving the email by contacting Predict D Score and informing Predict D Score that you no longer wish to receive emails of that nature.
13. Copyright in the Game Rules and points structure of the Game is the sole property of www.predictdscore.co.uk Other than as strictly necessary for a Player to take part in the Game, no information or material relating to the Game may be reproduced or transmitted in any form without the prior written consent of www.predictdscore.co.uk
14. Predict D Score online does not accept any liability for losses suffered by you as a result of your participation in the Game nor for any losses resulting from your inability to access the Game via the Predict D Score online website.
15. Predict D Score online decision is final with respect to all aspects of and operation of the Game.
